Born and raised in Clarksdale, Mississippi, Rev. Cordell E. Fields brings a wealth of education and experience to the assignment of ministry. Since accepting the call to ministry, he has proclaimed the gospel with conviction, compassion, and commitment. 

Rev. Fields studied at Coahoma Community College, Clarksdale, MS, to earn an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Respiratory Care (2008), a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Philander Smith University (2022), Little Rock, AR, a Master of Ministry Degree from United Theological Seminary (2023), Dayton, OH, and is currently working to obtain his Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Organizational Leadership from Luther Rice College & Seminary, Lithonia, GA.

Rev. Fields received the prestigious Top 20 Tiger Under 40 honor from Coahoma Community College for his continuous impact and leadership in the community and ministry.

Rev. Fields is a devoted servant-leader who brings together the heart of pastoral ministry and the excellence of healthcare professionalism. With over 16 years in ministry and 17 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, Rev. Fields has cultivated a unique voice at the intersection of faith, service, and healing.

Rev. Fields currently serves as the Executive Director of the Youth and Young & Adult Auxiliary of the General Missionary Baptist State Convention of MS, Inc. He is a member of the Jackson District Association of Jackson, MS. He previously served on staff for the Spirit of Timothy Division of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.

With a blessed call to serve and lead, Rev. Fields began his pastoral ministry at New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist in Ruleville, MS, in November 2011. With the assigned purpose of God on his life, he fulfilled the assignment until being called to pastor the Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Metcalfe, MS, in April 2015. In 2018, Rev. Fields was called to be the Pastor of the Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Jackson, MS, where he continues to serve. Pine Grove is uniquely known as The Place of Fruit Bearing.

Rev. Fields is a financial and active member of the Sigma Sigma Lambda Chapter (The Staple Chapter) of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. 

 

Rev. Fields is blessed to share each day of his life with his wife and best friend, Andrea’. He is the proud father of five beautiful children, Christian-Cordell, Jonaylin Demaria, Caitlynn- Rose, Cameron Amir, and Chloè Ellise.
